In order to keep the book as eco-trim as possible, and to give the trees a high-five, we used paper called FSC Mix Source Uncoated. FSC Mix means the paper comes from a variety of trees in Forest Stewardship Council-protected forests. They make sure that things run as they should in the forests, and hopefully they allow a ton of sick biking in them. The paper weight is 160gsm.
We used a font called Solex, which was designed by Zuzana Licko. It’s a pure and simple industrial sans-serif, which you can find out about here.
Finally, the book is bound using the glue-based ‘perfect bind’ technique. And to round it off, the cover has a foil block Bike Book mark and a water resistant film coating so it won’t fall apart on soggy, drizzly late-summer bike rides.
